About the Main Lodge
This is the original family house on the property — a family-owned waterfront home that's been welcoming guests on Georgian Bay for over sixty years. It sits on Pine Island Channel with wall-to-wall windows facing the water, and it's the only property of our three where you can have both the wilderness and the amenities.
Over the years the lodge has been updated with the things guests ask about most: the hot tub on the deck, the sauna, WiFi throughout, air conditioning, a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer. The stone fireplace and the great room that anchors it have stayed exactly as they were.
Main Lodge or a cabin — which should you pick?
The Main Lodge and our two cabins share the same waterfront but serve different trips. The lodge has the hot tub, sauna, WiFi, and air conditioning — the amenities guests ask for most, and the ones the cabins don't carry. It sleeps six across three bedrooms, has a washer and dryer, and runs $2,667/week CAD.
Ginger's Cabin also sleeps six but is cabin-simple — no hot tub, no WiFi, sunroom with Georgian Bay views, from $1,350/week. Rusty's Cabin is the two-bedroom option for couples and small families, from $1,150/week.
Pick the lodge if amenities matter, if you've got guests who can't fully unplug, or if you want a proper celebration week. Pick a cabin if you want the bay without the extras.
Who books the Main Lodge
Multi-generation family weeks — grandparents, parents, and grandkids together. The lodge has the bedroom count and the washer and dryer to run a full family week without anyone sleeping on a pullout.
Anniversary and birthday trips — the hot tub and sauna turn a quiet week into a proper celebration. The stone fireplace is where most of those evenings end.
Groups that need to stay connected — the lodge has WiFi reliable enough for video calls, a full kitchen for group meals, and enough separation of space (bedrooms, great room, and wraparound deck) that a half-dozen people aren't on top of each other.
Picture it: the whole crew under one roof, someone always starting the next meal, everyone gathering on the deck at sunset. Enough space that you're not in each other's way. Enough togetherness that it feels like a reunion, not a hotel.
This is the original family house—we've been coming here for over 60 years. Three bedrooms with two double beds each, so there's room for everyone without anyone on a pullout. Hot tub after a day on the trails. Wifi when someone has to check email. Want something simpler? See our private cabins.
The Main Lodge at Shebanoning is a private 3-bedroom waterfront lodge on Georgian Bay, 15 minutes from Killarney Provincial Park. Unlike hotel lodges, this is a full private rental with hot tub, sauna, WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, and canoe and kayak included. The lodge sleeps 6 guests across three bedrooms. Rates are $2,667 CAD per week, Saturday to Saturday, from June through October. Pets are welcome.

Work & Connectivity
WiFi covers the main living spaces, so remote work calls or streaming movie nights are feasible. Keep in mind that storms can affect service—download key files ahead of time if you plan to work from the lodge.
Pet-Friendly Details
Dogs are welcome; please keep them leashed outdoors and pick up after them to preserve trails for other guests. We recommend bringing extra towels for muddy paws and a bed or crate for indoor comfort.

Water Information
Tap water is drawn from the bay and triple-filtered. Most guests drink it without issue, though you're welcome to boil it or bring your own if you prefer.

Please plan for an 11 AM departure. We need the afternoon to prepare all three properties for incoming guests arriving at 3 PM.
