3 bedrooms — Sleeps 6 15 min to Killarney Provincial Park Sunroom with bay views From $1,350 CAD/week

Ginger's Cabin is our larger cabin—three bedrooms means the kids get their own space and you get yours. The sunroom is where you'll spend your mornings, coffee in hand, watching the light change on Georgian Bay.

Walk out the door, down the pink granite, and you're at the water. The canoe's on the beach. Paddles in the shed. No WiFi, no TV—just what you need between days on the water.

What a week at Ginger's looks like

You arrive Saturday afternoon. The kids run straight to the water before the car doors close. You unload slowly — there's no rush on Pine Island Channel. By the time supper's on the BBQ, the loons are calling across the bay and the light's going gold on the pink granite.

Mornings belong to the sunroom. Coffee, binoculars, the paper you brought from home. The sunroom looks out on Georgian Bay and most guests eat breakfast out there every day of the week.

Ginger's canoe lives on the beach — no reservation needed, no launch ramp. Paddle out to the islands, poke around Pine Island Channel, or just drift. The paddles and adult life jackets are in the shed. Bring children's PFDs from home — we don't keep child sizes on site.

Evenings are quiet here. No WiFi, no television, no distant highway. Card games at the kitchen table, reading by the window, or a short walk down the shoreline. Bed around 10 because you've been outside all day.

Getting to Ginger's Cabin

From Sudbury, it's about 90 minutes south on Highway 637 — a paved drive past Killarney Provincial Park's George Lake entrance and down into the town. From Toronto, plan on 5½ hours via Parry Sound and Highway 69. From southern Ontario, another route is the Chi-Cheemaun ferry from Tobermory to South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island, then across the island and south on Highway 637 — plan on 4–5 hours total including the ferry.

Ginger's sits on Pine Island Channel, a 15-minute drive from Killarney town along Highway 637. The last kilometre is a private gravel road — easy for any car, snug for trailers. Parking is on the cabin side of the driveway; two vehicles fit comfortably.

Best season for Ginger's

June is wildflowers, loons, long evenings — the bay's still cold (swimming is bracing) and blackflies are part of early-summer life in Killarney. Bring long sleeves, bug spray, and a head net if you're hiking in the park.

July and August are the warm-water weeks. The bay warms up enough for daily swimming, the canoe's out every day, and bugs ease off through July. Book early for these weeks — they sell out first.

September and early October are our favourite. The maples on La Cloche light up, the water's still warm enough to paddle, bugs are done, and there's a stillness on the bay that summer never has. Thanksgiving week is our last operating week of the season.
